Greetings!
We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. The store was filled with its traditional bustle; a unique energy that the three of us have come to know and love since we were children. The bookstore is a magical place that embodies the holiday spirit, and whether you are a new or returning customer, that magic is present as soon as you enter the building.
As we embark on the new chapter that is 2023, we must acknowledge Clark French for his belief and trust in us to carry on the unique legacy established by the Morrow Family forty-seven years ago.
This year marked our first season no longer as customers, but as proprietors. It is a role that we have embraced to the fullest and hold in the highest regard. We could not be more grateful to our team members in Manchester and Saratoga Springs for their continued patience and support during this transition. We learn more and more from them every day.
It was such a joy to see so many new and familiar faces pass through our doors this season. It is the continued loyalty of our customers that has always sustained the Northshire and will continue to allow us to thrive for years to come.
In closing, we leave you with this quote from Neil Gaiman:
“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”
Happy New Year!
Cathleen, Nicole and Ashley Ihasz
