The Rauh Jewish History Program & Archives is pleased to be a sponsor of A Conversation with the Author, hosted by Rodef Shalom Congregation. The inaugural season of the series features five award-winning authors talking about their recently published books. Each talk will feature a presentation by the author, Q&A, and book signing.  
 
On Dec. 6, Columbia professor Jeremy Dauber will discuss his book "Jewish Comedy: A Serious History ." The book provides a rich account of Jewish humor -its nature, its development, and its vital role throughout Jewish history - from biblical times to the age of Twitter.

The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council presents a guided tour of Rodef Shalom. Rodef Shalom Congregation docent Lynne Jacobson and Rauh Jewish History Program & Archives Director Eric Lidji will lead a tour through the historic landmark designed by architect Henry Hornbostel.  
 
The tour will focus on the building's stunning sanctuary, stained-glass windows, and public art collection, including Kent Bloomer's outdoor sculpture "Relief."  
 
Registration is $8 in advance and $10 on site. Tickets are limited, so please purchase in advance
