In January CAFE held our Winter Institute “Doing the Work 2.0”: Anti Racist Teaching & Learning. We are grateful to our wonderful speakers and appreciate the 25 faculty who spent five days with us in the CPP Library, learning and discussing ways to counteract racism in the classroom.

CAFE Welcomes Our Partnership with OIES!

The Office of Interdisciplinary Ethnic Studies (OIES) is responsible for providing faculty professional development for the Ethnic Studies Faculty and for programming to heighten the understanding and appreciation of Ethnic Studies across campus.

Faculty Day 2023: Centerpointe, April 20th – 11:30am – 1:00pm 

Register for April 20th, 11:30am – 1:00pm and join CAFE for a celebration of Cal Pomona faculty at Faculty Day 2023! This is CAFE's treat for all full-time, part-time, retired, new, and those in between! Once again, we will enjoy lunch and time with colleagues at the Centerpointe Dining Hall for this fully in-person event.

Join CAFE's Summer Institute 2023, remote in May & June, to discover how leveraging data can address equity gaps and encourage learning. More information and registration coming soon!

If your students constantly struggle to grasp specific concepts, a Multimedia Learning Object (MLO) may be a good way to enhance their understanding. CAFE is currently accepting requests for custom multimedia learning object development. Submit a project request to get started and visit the MLO Repository for examples.

Presentation on MLOs: Learn more on what MLOs are and how to use them in your courses to help students with abstract concepts. Presentation offered two dates, Feb 21, 12-1pm or Feb 22, 3-4pm.
