Nearly Time to Sing Together Again!
January 2, 2023

Dear C. C.,

I'm excited to get back together and begin preparations for the second half of our season. Rehearsals for our March and May concerts start on January 16 at the regular place and time: Ascension Lutheran Church, Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. We'll be working straight through March 27, then a couple of weeks off for spring break before resuming on April 17.

If you haven't done so, please visit the redesigned AMC Chorister News and Information page on our website to get resources for the March concert, "Choral and Organ Masterworks." Scott has provided per-part rehearsal tracks for Mendelssohn's "Psalm 42." The Langlais "Psaume Solennel" has full and choral-only scores in PDF and a couple of variations of performance recordings.

Please take some time between now and January 16 to do some vocalizing and get familiar with both pieces for March so we can make the best use of rehearsal time. We'll also be rehearsing some pieces for the May concert along with the Mendelssohn and Langlais works.

There's also a link to the season calendar on the Chorister News page. Besides scores and rehearsal audio, each concert page has details of performance weekend call times and venues.

Finally, there's a link to the chorister and staff roster for which you'll need to use the password "Chorister" to open. Please let me know if you have any problems accessing the website or using the PDF (score) and MP3 (audio) files there.
