Celebrating a Successful

2024 Concerts at the Cove Series

The Solana Beach "Concerts at the Cove" series has officially wrapped up for the season. We want to extend a huge thank you to the community for your incredible support and to the Solana Beach Parks and Recreation crew and the Belly Up for their hard work in delivering another successful concert series. This unique beachside event has become a highly anticipated tradition, bringing the community together every Thursday throughout the summer. With a fantastic lineup of talented artists, every show was filled with energy and excitement. It was a joy to see everyone come together to enjoy the music and summer fun. We had an amazing time, and we hope you did too! We can't wait to see you all again next year.

La Colonia Movie in the Park!

The City invites you to a fun evening at the first ever "Movie in the Park" event at La Colonia Park on Saturday, August 24th, from 6:00-9:00 PM. The night will feature live music, community booths, and the beloved Disney film Coco, starting at dusk around 7:25 PM. Enjoy complimentary food provided by John's Market, available while supplies last. This free event is being brought to the community by the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest San Diego County (formerly the San Dieguito Boys & Girls Club), La Colonia Community Foundation, and the Solana Beach Civic & Historical Society. Don’t miss this special opportunity to extend the summer family fun a little longer!

August Summer Lecture Series

Join us for the next Solana Beach Community Connections Summer Lecture Series on Tuesday, August 27th, at 5:30 PM at the La Colonia Community Center. Brad Auerbach, an Adjunct Professor at UCSD’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, will explore how rapid advances in technology are reshaping the arts. From the latest in communication tools to the rise of artificial intelligence, Brad will discuss where we are now and what the future holds. This event is free and open to the public, supported by the City’s Parks and Recreation Commission. Be part of an engaging series that brings thought-provoking topics to our community!
