Parent & Caregiver Support Group |
Calling all parents and caregivers! Do you want to talk with other guardians about raising a child with autism? Are you confused about resources and want to ask other guardians who have been in your situation? How do you want to talk about your family’s autism journey?
Our Parent & Caregiver Support Group meets every week on Tuesdays 7-8:30 p.m. ET on Zoom and is open to anyone with a family member who has autism. As a group, we give and receive support, talk through challenges and successes, encourage one another, and take each other’s perspectives as we progress through each stage of the autism journey. Registration at the linked button below is only required once, since we use the same Zoom link and passcode for each weekly meeting. If you have any questions about the group, or other support groups, reach out to Program Director Hadia Khan at hkhan@autismcincy.org or 513-561-2300 ext. 5.

In a Different Key Movie Screening on PBS
Tuesday, December 13 9/8c
|
In a Different Key is based on the Pulitzer Prize-nominated book, In a Different Key, written by journalists Caren Zucker and John Donvan. The movie shows a true story of love, autism, and the fight to belong. The film features a mother who tracks down the first person ever diagnosed with autism to a rural Mississippi town to learn whether his life story holds promise for her own autistic son. Her journey exposes a startling record of cruelty and kindness alike-framed by forces like race, money, and privilege. She ultimately finds hope for a future with greater acceptance for those who are considered different.
For the first time, the In a Different Key movie will be premiering on PBS stations nationwide, and will be simultaneously streamed across all station-branded PBS platforms, including PBS.org and the PBS Video app. The initial premier is on Tuesday, December 13 at 9/8c, but it will be available to stream on the PBS site and app mentioned for 30 days following the preview.
