Home Care Benefit Fund Partners with WeightWatchers to Support Members’ Health Journeys

As part of its “Healthy Living” initiative, the Home Care Benefit Fund launched a partnership with WeightWatchers, which provides a comprehensive approach to wellness and weight loss. Beginning today, members can download the WeightWatchers app and sign up for the Premium program that includes in-person or virtual workshops with a health coach, meal and activity tracking, healthy recipes, on-demand fitness and mindfulness videos, tips to improve sleep and more. In addition, members will have access to health coaches 24 hours a day, seven days a week to offer unlimited support or answer questions. Members only pay $8 per month. Spouses and dependents age 18 and older can qualify for a discounted rate of $29 per month. For the more than 28 percent of 1199SEIU members, spouses and dependents living with prediabetes or diabetes, we are also offering WeightWatchers’ specialized track at no cost. This program includes tailored meal planning, health coaches and community groups for those living with these conditions.
