A Southern Baptist Association
From Your Associational Mission Strategist

It’s CAMP TIME!! Please be in prayer for our Association camps. Our Day Camp is taking place this month June 19-22. This camp is for 5-7 year olds, and our director is Amber Posey. Our Girls and Boys camps are in July. These camps are for children who have completed 2nd-6th grade and our directors are Christina Wynn (Girls camp) and Jackson Musselwhite (Boys camp). Now is the time to begin registering children for our camps. The applications can be found on our website at: www.southcentralbaptistnetwork.org or you can pick up an application at our office. There is scholarship money available for those who need it. We will begin with paying for half of a student’s camp fees. I have also sent letters to churches asking for help with items we will need for the camps as well as churches cooking and serving meals.

We will have two mission teams going to Norristown, PA this summer to work alongside Michael Board. Our first team will be going July 22-26th and our second team will be going August 17-21st. If you have people in your churches who would like to be a part of these teams, please have them contact me. Be in prayer for the work in Norristown and that God will use our Network to help build the Kingdom.

Please be in prayer for all our churches that are holding Vacation Bible Schools this summer. Many of our churches have Bible schools and I look forward to getting around to visit with most of them. This is one of the greatest evangelistic outreaches we do as churches and my prayer is that many children will give their lives to Christ and that churches can reach many prospective families.

We will have a summer missionary this summer working with us. I am pleased to announce that Jasmine McNulty will serve in our Network. She will be helping three of our churches with VBS and will be working with all our camps. Please be in prayer for Jasmine that God will use her as she serves!

I am working on putting together a Men’s Revival that will take place on August 28th at FBC Vienna. Our Evangelism Consultant, Steve Foster will be preaching. The plan is to have a Fish Fry supper before the service and our goal is for our men in our churches to attend and invite other un-churched men to attend as well. Please let me know if you have men in our churches that could help with advertising, supplying fish, and even help be on a cooking team.

I am blessed to serve our churches and I am grateful that God allows me to come alongside our Pastors and churches as we work together to advance the Kingdom. I am praying for a great harvest of souls this summer through our Vacations Bible Schools and camps!

Crisp County has a Christian Learning Center! This center represents a form of instruction known as "release time education". Upon completion of each course, the student will receive appropriate course credit according to school requirements. It is the desire of the Christian learning center that each student be given the education in character studies, historical context, and moral reasoning using the Bible and Christian doctrine as the foundation to ensure that each student is educated in a way that their uniqueness is embraced, and their success is promoted with the understanding that they are valued as a Creation of God. We currently have 43 students in the 7th and 8th grades that are enrolled in classes this semester. We have had over 100 students in the past four years to take classes. The Center classroom is located at Pinecrest Baptist Church. The current administrator and teacher is Jean Johnson. We are asking for churches and individuals to be committed to financially supporting this center. Would you consider making a monthly contribution? If so, please send checks to SCBN, PO Box 1274 Cordele, GA 31010. Your support would be greatly appreciated as many lives are being impacted by our C4 Christian Learning Center!

What to do with all those old Sunday School books?

Don’t throw them away–bring them to SCBN Office

Bring your old SS literature to SCBN Center. Chad Harris will take it to an Edwin L. Hodges Ministries collection site to send overseas. ELHM is a Christian literature ministry that collects donated Bibles, books, magazines, tapes, and tracts from American Christians and ships them to Bible schools, churches, missionaries, and ministries overseas. ELHM is a non-denominational, nonprofit, evangelical ministry.
