Dear Families of the MS 104 Community:
Happy Thursday! I hope this message finds everyone doing well. It is hard to believe that we are in the final of the school year. I look forward to the upcoming events this month and encourage our students and staff to finish the year strong!
Please see a few announcements below.
Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Rocco Macri, Principal
Volunteers Needed for Graduation Set-Up and Break Down
Our Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7th. Since our event will be held outdoors, we have set a rain date for Monday, June 12th. The ceremony will be held in our schoolyard.
Hosting this event in our schoolyard is a large undertaking and requires a lot work on the morning of the event. To ensure we start on time, we will begin setting up our yard at 6:30 AM. Parent volunteers have provided much needed support to this event the last few years.
With eighth grade families needing to prepare for the day's ceremony we are asking sixth or seventh grade families to consider volunteering to help out with set up and break down. I know it is a big ask but we would appreciate any parental support we can get. This is a great way to pay it forward as we will be asking for support from our sixth and seventh grade families when your child is graduating. Last year, I was amazed by the outpouring of parent support we received. We could not have set up the yard without it! I am hopeful we will have another strong volunteer turnout for this year's graduation day.

You will note that there are two time slots listed for the event. You may sign for one or both. If you cannot commit to the entire time slot, you may still sign up! We can use as much assistance as possible.
We thank our families in advance for your support and generosity in helping us give our eighth grade families a wonderful graduation ceremony.
