Good afternoon, Yucca residents,
There are a few exciting details I would like to share with you this week!
This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the groundbreaking for the Veterans Community Project. I look forward to seeing the veteran community receive these necessary resources from 50 cottages to wrap-around services. This event was a huge success.
Glendale University is full! Those who register now will be placed on a waiting list to join. If you missed this opportunity, stay tuned- this program will be back next Spring!
Congratulations to the Glendale Fire Department for securing a grant totaling $2,705,348.73! This grant will provide leadership training for 237 firefighters, representing 10 Fire Departments in the West Valley. This training will assist in developing skills for Fire Officers to effectively provide leadership in their organizations. It will improve communication in the workforce and on all emergency incidents, develop and improve decision-making skills, and improve problem-solving while nurturing and developing future leaders. The benefit that the community will realize is the result of better decision-making and more proficient and effective teams working together for the good of the community.
