Post Pledge Campaign Survey

The Stewardship Committee of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral of San Diego is grateful for your generosity, helping us have a very successful pledge campaign in the fall of 2022! We exceeded our goal of $900,000 by over $52,000. Because of this great response, we want to know what we did during the campaign that meant the most to you as you considered your own giving. This survey will take approximately 7 minutes to complete, and every answer helps us better prepare for the future. We have also included a question regarding demographics for use of our parochial report as required by the The Episcopal Church. Thank you again for your blessings to St. Paul's! Please click here to take the survey.

Partner in ministry:

Farm Fresh to You Fundraiser

St. Paul's is partnering with Farm Fresh to You, a local farm-to-home delivery service, for a chance to raise funds and find a solution to getting you local, organic produce right to your door step. Since 1976, Farm Fresh to You, has built a sustainable network that will enable clean food delivery from their family owned farm, and a range of partner beyond-organic California farms and grocers throughout the state.

Use promo code "SPC" when you purchase any delivery and 10% of your total cost will be donated to St. Paul's. There are no commitments to ongoing deliveries, no delivery fees and if you don't like the quality of the product you don't pay. So check out farmfreshtoyou.com and see what fresh, organic products you can have delivered!

a bowl of soup

Blessed are the Soup Makers

We are in need of several people to make and bring a crockpot of soup to share at one of our “Wondering Together” Lenten lunches. These will be on five Sundays in Lent: February 26, March 5, March 12, March 19, and March 26. If you have a favorite soup that you’d like to share on one of these Sundays, please let the Dean know at bridgesp@stpaulcathedral.org. Indicate which Sundays work for you and whether your soup can be vegan.

Ashes-To-Go Is Only A Few Weeks Away!

February 22 is Ash Wednesday and, with your help, St. Paul's will once again take church to the streets. There will be two morning shifts and several locations in Banker's Hill and downtown. If you would like to participate in this year's ministry by either driving a team or being an Ashes To Go team member, please contact Craig Monsell, by January 31 (craigmonsell@gmail.com).

Easter flowers

Memorial Flower Donations

With just a few weeks remaining in the Epiphany season, we invite you to make a special donation for Sunday morning flowers, in honor of an occasion or in memory of a loved one. The suggested donation for a pulpit arrangement on a Sunday is $140. Make a gift on our give page (please select the "flower" fund) or send a check with the requested attribution attached, at least one week in advance of the Sunday when you would like to give flowers. This gives us enough time to include the attribution in the worship leaflets. If you have any questions please email Kathleen Burgess, (burgessk@stpaulcathedral.org).

St. Paul's 2023 Lenten Reflections Booklet Invitation

Each year during Lent at St. Paul’s we put together a wonderful daily reflection booklet. Each reflection is written by one of you based on scripture provided for that day. It has been a tradition of St. Paul’s for the past several years, it was deeply moving to see so many beautiful and prayerful reflections last year. Do you feel called to offer a reflection? The instructions are simple and will be given to you should you agree to submit an entry.

This will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested email Rev. Richard (hoguer@stpaulcathedral.org) by Wednesday, February 1, 2023, he'll send out your reading soon thereafter. All are welcome. You will have approximately 1-2 weeks to prepare your entry. Booklets will be distributed prior to Ash Wednesday, February 22.

The Power and Healing of Stories

From St Paul’s Sacred Ground in Action

Storytelling is vital way to share information, especially as the words of the storyteller enlighten us about their experiences and how they impact them, and all of us. Stories can move us to action.

At this year’s annual Winter Talk, organized by TEC Office of Indigenous Ministries, PB Michael Curry told the fifty plus attendees that he was there to listen.

That’s what we are called to do: to really listen when we hear the storyteller’s heartfelt words. Let us commit to listening to our Kumeyaay and other indigenous neighbors as we learn from their words as we hope for meaningful relationship.
