IBERIA PARISH, La. --- The 20th anniversary Acadiana Youth Hunter Education Club banquet will be Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. at the Bayou Bend Conference Center (1029 Northwest Blvd., Franklin, LA).
The Acadiana Youth Hunter Education Club is an advanced youth hunter education program designed to enhance classroom knowledge and increase practical in the field experience and welcomes youths (age 10-18) from all Acadiana parishes.
Join the organization for an evening of raffles, games, live and silent auctions, delicious food and lots of prizes. Single tickets are $40 and couples are $80 and will be sold at the door.
Each sponsor table comes with a special thank you gift from their curated table list, reserved seating for 8 people, raffle tickets and a special drawing only for table sponsors as well as your choice of gift from each corresponding package. The Bronze Package is $500, Silver Package is $1000 and Gold Package is $1500.
All proceeds will be used to benefit the club's youth members and the Acadiana communities.
About Acadiana YHEC:
Acadiana YHEC is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization intertwined with the Louisiana Youth Hunter Education Association, which is a subsidiary of the Louisiana Department Wildlife and Fisheries Educational Department and the NRA Hunter Services Department. Under direct supervision of volunteer Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Instructors the youths (age 10-18) develop personal ethics, self-control, safety of firearms, and marksmanship skills. They are educated in survival techniques, wildlife identification, and wildlife conservation with the objective to provide a safer future in outdoor activities.
Acadiana YHEC is one of eight Louisiana YHEC Teams and Louisiana is only one of 50 states that participate in the Annual Central Regional Youth Hunter Education Challenge. Currently the Acadiana youth members consist of 20 boys and girls ranging from the ages of 10-18 who travel each week from the cities of New Iberia, Youngsville, St. Martinsville, Jeanerette, Charenton, Franklin, Centerville, and Morgan City for club activities and events.
