BID ON THIS HISTORIC GEM

at the Steppingstone Auction

… a note from Donna Coffin

If you love history, choose WILLIAMSBURG, VA!

History buffs, step back in time to visit this Virginia Colony from the 1699 to 1700 period, which was significant in the American Revolution. It formed the “Historic Triangle” together with Jamestown and Yorktown. Immerse yourself in this district where actors “live” this historical period wearing costumes that depict daily Colonial life in the streets, stores, and workshops you can visit.

When I was in fifth grade on our family vacation we visited Williamsburg, VA and I had the honor of unlocking the door to the governor’s residence! What a thrill it was, perhaps that sparked my love of history. Whether you’re wandering through cobblestone streets, enjoying reenactments, or exploring fascinating exhibits, history does come alive!

In addition, you can visit the many nearby exciting attractions such as Go Ape Zip Line & Treetop Adventure (pictured below)… and don’t miss a scenic trip on the Jamestown Scotland Ferry, or miss savoring the exquisite wines at The Williamsburg Winery at Wessex Hundred.

The Williamsburg Plantation (pictured below), the featured resort, lies nestled on a stately 78 acre resort. This can be your home away from home. Relax and unwind in heated indoor-outdoor pools, hot tubs or spa treatment. There is also a fitness center and a children’s playground on-site. Actually, there’s something for everyone!

Accommodations are for a 5 night, studio or 1-bedroom resort condominium unit that will accommodate up to 4 guests. This package does not include airfare, meals, taxes, personal expenses, or any fees (including resort and amenities fees) that are only payable at the property. You have 3 years, starting on the date of the auction (April 12, 2025) to complete your travel.

Hey, see you at the auction!

Starting bid: $1,300.00

Make this summer one to remember with Steppingstone School!

🐍 Welcome the Year of the Snake with

Culture, Cuisine, and Celebration! 🎊

The Lunar New Year festivities at Steppingstone School were nothing short of spectacular! Our students immersed themselves in a cultural celebration filled with learning, hands-on activities, and, of course, delicious food.

Under the guidance of Mr. David Liou, our Head of School and Mandarin Instructor, students explored the rich traditions of the Chinese New Year (pictured below). Through an engaging presentation featuring videos and fascinating insights, they discovered how this important holiday is celebrated across various Asian cultures.

🥟 A Tasty Tradition: Dumpling Making

One of the highlights of the celebration was the hands-on dumpling-making session (pictured below)! Students rolled up their sleeves to prepare chicken dumplings, a symbol of prosperity and good fortune, to take home and share with their families. Cooking together provided a wonderful opportunity to blend cultural education with practical skills — plus, it was delicious!

🏮 The Celebration Continues

Steppingstone has been beautifully decorated in honor of the Spring Festival (pictured below), which lasts for two weeks, culminating in the Lantern Festival. As students continue to learn about this special time of year, they are reminded of the importance of family, renewal, and hope for the year ahead.

🍜 Experience More with Our "Flavors of Asia" Summer Cooking Camp!

Inspired by our Lunar New Year event? This summer, Mr. Liou will be leading our "Flavors of Asia" cooking camp, where students will explore the diverse culinary traditions of Asian cultures. This hands-on camp will introduce young chefs to new flavors, techniques, and recipes from across the continent. Register now!

🎉 Wishing our Steppingstone community a joyful and prosperous Year of the Snake! 🎉
