5K AND YOGA SUCCESS + UPCOMING EVENTS!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Health First Fight Child Hunger 5K. We surpassed our goal with 626 registrations for this year’s race! Everyone enjoyed a pancake breakfast, music, and plenty of fun! Cheering on the participants were Viera Charter School cheerleaders. With participants as young as age 9 and young-at-heart as age 83, all received a commemorative t-shirt and finisher medal. It was a very cool and sunny morning, just right for a 5K! This event helped raise awareness of the efforts to fight child hunger by Health First, The Children’s Hunger Project and the Sharing Center of Central Brevard.

With 21 teams and representation from many area schools, the entire county was involved in making this 5K a success.

SHOUT OUT TO THE SPACE COAST YOGA COMMUNITY

Everyone came together at the inaugural It’s Just Yoga Fest – Space Coast for a day filled with love, giving, sharing and of course yoga.

Best of all the generous donations allowed The Children’s Hunger Project to serve over 440 weekend food packages to hungry children in Brevard County. Thank you to all newcomers, yogis, volunteers and sponsors!

A very special event on Tuesday, February 7th from 12pm-1pm, will showcase The Children's Hunger Project's exceptional work in collaboration with the community to help address the problem of weekend hunger for local children.
