Editor's note: Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! Thanks for your patience as we work on updating our contact list. This weekly email newsletter is intended for all Cherry Chase families to keep you informed of PTA programs, events, and ways to be involved with your child's education.

Back to School Picnic and PTA Resource Fair - Fri Aug 23

We are excited to kick off the year with our Back to School Picnic and PTA Resource Fair on Friday, Aug 23! Bring your own picnic blanket and dinner and mingle with old friends and new.

Learn about various PTA programs and events at the Resource Fair between 5:30-6:30. We'll wrap up the picnic at 7:30pm.

(Note: this is a separate event from the school's Back to School Night)

TK/Kinder Play Date - Aug 18, 1-2pm

We invite incoming TK and Kindergarten families to a playdate on Sunday, Aug 18, 1-2pm. Meet other kids in your class, preview the playgrounds, and have a chance to ask questions. Gather at the Kinder playground (closest entrance is the gate at Grape and Hudson). Please note the classrooms, bathrooms, and teachers will not be available during the playdate.

Join the PTA to show your support of our students. Just $10/individual or $15/family.

Members have a voice in how we support our school and our children. Attending meetings and volunteering is encouraged, but not required.

Become a member by Aug 19 in order to vote at the Sep 18 PTA meeting.

2024-25 Open PTA Board Positions

Join the PTA Executive Board and make a big impact on your family's experience at Cherry Chase! The board meets monthly and helps drive PTA programs that benefit all students. Open positions are:

Exec VP Membership/Volunteer Coordinator - Connects parents to PTA opportunities

Special Events VP - Acts as a resource for each event chair

Communications VP - Keeps our community informed

Parliamentarian- Helps everyone follow correct procedures
