SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS

CAN MAKE A BIG IMPACT!

From the Mission Outreach Mobilization Team

As we experience cold or rainy days this winter, we will see more people in crisis looking for help. You may ask yourself "What Should I Do?" "How Do I Help?"

In some cases we make assumptions, jump to conclusions, sometimes we turn away, or maybe we look for some cash or coins.

What do you do when you see someone experiencing homelessness or crisis? What is your response when they ask for money?

Our local partners at the City of Refuge have shared with us their recommendation to make and keep a few kits in your car that you can hand out. This could include:

Bottled Water, Socks, Granola bars, Peanut Butter Cracker, Gum

Travel Peanut Butter Cups, Travel Kleenex, Chapstick

Travel Toothbrush/Toothpaste

During winter months: hand warmers, gloves, socks, and hats

Preloaded MARTA Breeze cards.

Together, we can all take small actions that make a big impact in someone's life.
