GATHERING | REACHING | SERVING

Sunday, May 28

after church

Join us for an “Ice Cream Social” in appreciation of Minister to Senior Adults, Tim Gerde for his eight years of service to seniors at Centenary.

Weather permitting, we hope to gather on the sidewalk and in the courtyard in front of the church.

It will be an informal time to share words of gratitude to Tim and to wish him all the best.

Celebrate Your Graduate!

It's that time of year again. College graduations are upon us and high school ceremonies are not far behind. We would love to celebrate these important milestones with you. If you have a graduate in your family, please send the following to the church office:

  • name,
  • where they are graduating from,
  • degree
  • future plans
  • a picture to share

We will share the celebrations in a June issue of the newsletter and bulletin.

Come join us for the fun!

Friday, May 26 at 7:00pm

in the Fellowship Hall

ADMISSION FREE!

Popcorn, soda, and some incredibly special treats will be provided! Come join your Centenary Church family for a night of fun and excitement…and some interesting things you didn’t know about the original film that was later rebooted by many of Hollywood’s top stars!

WE’LL SEE YOU AT THE MOVIES!!!

OH, IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK

Tuesday, June 6 at 10:30am

Have you ever wanted to know more of the story concerning our historic Centenary UMC? Who were those early Richmond Methodist? Why does our church have that Gothic feel? Tell me about those beautiful stained-glass windows? Tell me more, more, more(but not too much). Famous raconteur and tour guide, Bob Almond will be presenting The Centenary Story on June 6. Meet in our sanctuary at 10:30 am. Bob will enlighten you with what our walls have heard over the last 200 years. Invite a friend to listen and learn and try a downtown restaurant. Parking may be available in the lot behind the church or on the surroundings streets.

Bible Study

Wednesdays at 10:00am on Zoom

Join us as we take a look at the scripture for the upcoming Sunday!

An email is sent out with all the details on Tuesdays. If you would like to be added to the Bible study email list,

please contact the church office.

MORE NEWS

Dear Centenary Members,

Thank you for your contribution to Pace's Tupperware Drive. Meals at Pace are a vital component of some student's diets. On a campus where nearly 40% of students experience food insecurity at some point in their college careers, leftovers are a big deal! Thanks again for your continued prayers and support!

--Jean Linnell, Associate Director, Pace Center

We are not requiring RSVPs but you can indicate your planned attendance to help our hosts plan. If you are not sure or cannot commit to attend at this time,

Mission

Our mission is to change the world through love.

To acknowledge God’s love is, for each of us, a life-changing event.

As followers of Jesus, we share God’s love for all people, and work together to make our world a better place, one life at a time.
