Work at the Ohio City Refugee Response Urban Farm for the Summer!
The Ohio City Farm, one of the largest contiguous urban farms in the United States at nearly six acres, exists to provide fresh, local and healthy food to Cleveland’s underserved residents, boost the local food economy, and educate the community about the importance of a complete food system.
Ohio City Farm is operated by The Refugee Response (TRR), a non-profit that works to empower refugees to become self-sufficient and contributing members of their new communities.
Ohio City Farm is looking for hardworking, dedicated students to work with them this summer. This is a paid position through Federal Work Study. Students must qualify for Federal Work Study.
This is a great chance to get to know meet new people and new cultures!

BHGH empowers Scholars with a balanced approach to their development with a focus on their intellectual growth, social-emotional development and holistic wellness that fosters the critical academic, social-emotional and life skills needed for success.

K-5 Tiger Camp at CHUH Schools
|
The Tiger Camp model focuses on the various aspects of student development: Academic, Social, Emotional, and Physical well-being along with mentorship and leadership. Campers entering grades 1-6 this fall will strengthen their academic skills through morning lessons to improve outcomes for math, reading, writing, and speaking. Afternoon activities will be led by CH-UH staff members and will engage students in structured games, enrichment opportunities, and summer camp activities.
Where: Cleveland Heights High School
Days: Monday-Friday
Time: 9:00 am- 3:00 pm
Dates:
- Session 1- Tuesday, June 21 - July 1
- Session 2- Monday, July 11- July 22

Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio is seeking engaging and enthusiastic upper class undergraduate students and
graduate students who have an interest in working with the development of middle school students to work as Teaching
Fellows with the Boys Hope Girls Hope Academy Summer Program
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing Lessons
- Leading Enrichment Courses
- Attending Field Trips with the Scholars
Teaching experience is not required, however, candidates must be enthusiastic about working with middle and high school students.
This opportunity requires a commitment of approximately 40 hours each week from June 6th-July 8th (five weeks) and includes a $2,000 stipend for the summer program.

Volunteering with UH Rainbow Connects is a unique opportunity to gain experience interacting with patients as well as doctors and other clinical staff.
You will also receive training on addressing the social determinants of health and effectively communicating with patients.
Because our volunteers provide direct care to patients, this valuable experience comes a high expectations. Volunteers must be reliable, consistent, and take an active interest in increasing their knowledge base and their ability to assist patients.

Americorps VISTA and UWW have partnered together in 2022 for the BIPOC Food Security Project which provides aid to families living in poverty. We are now recruiting for VISTAs to serve full time for one year at selected United Way agencies across the nation.
United Way Food Security VISTAs will serve their local communities through identifying food deserts and food programs, expanding community understanding and support for the program, fundraising, and developing effective programs to improve access to food and provide food education. VISTAs may also be tasked with leadership roles in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers who assist United Way with budgeting, cooking, and growing food sources.

The inaugural Close Up Civic Fellowship, an opportunity for recent college graduates to join us for a life-changing year of engaging young people in the political process is now launching and seeking applicants.
There are 10 openings for this year’s Civic Fellowship, which runs from September 2022 through July 2023 (with an option to begin in June 2022). This is a salaried, full-time, year-long position with generous benefits, making it the ideal launching point for an aspiring educator, issue advocate, or nonprofit leader.
