Piercings, Dyed Hair and Beards, Oh My!

It's that time of year when we get school-ready! Please be reminded of these common oversights regarding our grooming standards. These are abbreviated versions.

Hairstyles should be neat, clean, and moderate at all times. Extreme, exaggerated, or unusual hairstyles are not permitted. Only artificial color that emulates a natural hair color is permitted. Subtle highlights are permitted but must be worn without extreme variation of the student’s natural hair color. Boys' hair may not extend beyond the collar nor hang over the eyebrows. Ponytails for boys are not permitted.

Boys are to be clean-shaven at all times and sideburns shall not extend lower than the bottom of the earlobe.

Earrings and posts on boys are not acceptable wear at school or at any school-sponsored activity, night or day, on or off campus, including if worn under any covering including a bandage. No tongue rings, nose piercings, or other visible body piercings other than ear piercings for girls are permitted.

Textbook Information

BE SURE TO CHECK THE TEXTBOOK LIST IN SHELFIT BEFORE BUYING BOOKS FROM OTHER INDIVIDUALS OR A THIRD PARTY. SOME TEXTBOOKS HAVE CHANGED.

When purchasing through Shelfit, it is necessary to use your student’s school issued Gmail account. This ensures that any digital access is given to your student and they can access the text with their Chromebooks while on our campus or at home.

Clarification on the Course Access Bundle:

If your student is enrolled in certain classes, you will see “Course Access Bundle,” on your textbook list. You will be required to purchase this Course Access Bundle through acp.shelfit.com. This bundle is a combination of Science and English texts needed for some courses. Students will receive digital access to both texts. Additionally, students will also receive a print version of both. These will be shipped to Antonian and distributed here, but your student must have purchased the Course Access Bundle.
