APOMA members,

I want to thank Navid Entezarian for his remarkable dedication to the optical fabrication industry. We have recently learned that Navid will be pursuing a career outside the optics industry, but the impression he had within our world will be long-lasting. Navid was a tireless advocate for workforce development. His efforts led him to kick-start the Optical Technician program at Sussex County Community College and serve as an adjunct professor there, shaping the minds of future opticians. As a board member of APOMA, Navid was a valuable resource to myself and the entire APOMA membership. All of these wonderful contributions would be amazing as stand-alone items, but Navid conducted these actions in conjunction with his successful career as a manager at Thorlabs. Navid will be missed and we know that he will find success in wherever his path leads him.

With Navid’s departure from the industry, his APOMA Board position has been vacated. In accordance with APOMA By-Laws, Article VI, Section 7, the Executive Committee has met and agreed on a successor. Please see the article below for more information.

Thank you,

Lee Steneken

APOMA President
