Margaret Horton is one of this year’s Telling Room Young Emerging Authors. Margaret will be at PML to read from her book and talk with Jude Marx,Telling Room's lead teacher, about writing, inspiration and how it feels to be an author.

Pihcintu is chorus of young women from Cambodia, China, Congo, El Salvador, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, Viet Nam, British West Indies, and Zambia. They (and their music) touch the hearts of all who hear them!

No registration required.
Kids ages 0-3 and caregivers, come hang out in our activity room and enjoy all it has to offer. We have a play kitchen, dolls, puzzles, duplos, and a train table. So much to do! This is a low-key time for both kids and caregivers to socialize and connect. No registration required. Just drop in!

Lego Contest
Submissions due: Tuesday, February 18 – Tuesday, February 25
Voting: Wednesday, February 26 – end of day Saturday, March 8.
Grades preK–5
Lego creations will be on display in the Kids' Room, and ballots will be available for the public to vote.
Get creative for our annual LEGO contest!
Rules: Original work. No kits. Use your own LEGOS or use LEGOS from the library's collection.
Builds must not exceed a 15" by 15" base.
New this year: If you wish, you may use PML's LEGO supply for the contest. Our LEGO buckets will be out and available for use the whole week of February 18 (please help us out with this by making sure your workspace is tidy when you are finished). We will break down your creation and return the LEGOS to our collection after the contest and voting end.
A small prize will be awarded to the 3 favorites in each age category: grades preK-1; grades 2-3; grades 4-5.

Call for snacks for hungry kids
Kids and teens are hungry after school. PML Youth and Teen Services likes to be able offer kids and teens a snack and a drink when they come to the library to hang out or participate in our after-school groups.

Are you curious about tarot cards but don't know where to start? Explore the archetypes, symbolism, and meanings of the Major Arcana.
You'll learn not just the meanings of the cards, but build a foundation to start thinking tarot by seeing how it connects to all of the people, places, and things in our lives.
Meet your teacher: Morrisa Higer (Mo), is a professional tarot reader. She is excited to teach you!
This is a 4-week program. In order to get the most out of the workshops, it is preferred that teens who sign up have availability for all or most of the scheduled weeks.

Lit Loot!
Register by the 21st of the month for the next month's loot.
Lit Loot is a book subscription bag for teens in grades 6-12.
Register and complete a short survey by the 21st of the month. Lit loot bags will be available for pickup on the Grab-n-Go shelf at the library on/after the first of the following month.
What's in the bag, you ask?
Each Lit Loot bag will have 2 library books based upon the preferences indicated in your survey and a selection of small goodies to keep. Return the books and bag by the due date, and keep the goodies.
**You *must* fill out a registration form for each month you wish to participate in Lit Loot.**

The Friends of PML gladly accepts donations of gently used books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles (up to 2 small boxes or 2 shopping bags at a time), which are in good to excellent condition. Items for all ages are welcome.
The following are not accepted: Encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks, Bibles, VHS Tapes, outdated self-help or medical advice books, reference, technology or computer books, books which are written in, torn, moldy, musty, water or smoke damaged.
Please do not place donations in the Book Drop as space is limited for patrons' items. Bring donations into the library.
