Hello everybody!
It’s hard to believe summer is winding down and ministries are ramping back up. It has gone by quickly and we are preparing to welcome our teachers back in the building at the beginning of August and the first day of school on August 13. This week is our kindergarten camp and 66 young students are bringing a great deal of energy and enthusiasm on campus. A special word of thanks to our maintenance team, who have worked diligently and tirelessly throughout the summer to get our facilities ready for the start of a new school year. Thank you Randy, Daniel, Micah, Preston, Josh, and Brody!
Although the National Eucharistic Congress concluded last week, the National Eucharistic Revival continues through June 2025 with the Year of Mission. We have a limited number of copies of Matthew Kelly’s book Beautiful Eucharist, which is a compilation of reflections by leading authors of their personal encounters with Jesus in the Eucharist, available in the gathering space for you to have. I hope it will be an inspiration for your own encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist.
As Vicar General, I will be heading down with Archbishop Shelton for the ordination of Bishop Elect James Mark Beckman in the Diocese of Knoxville on Friday. Archbishop Shelton has served for the past 13 months as the Apostolic Administrator of Knoxville in addition to shepherding the Archdiocese of Louisville. Please pray for us and the church in Knoxville as we celebrate this gift of God’s providence with joy!
May God bless you and keep you in his loving care!
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
