Youth Beach Retreat 2024 - Thank You!
Thank you for your support of Grace’s youth ministry. Last week, 5 youth and 2 adults (with one first-timer) went to the SCLRC Coastal Retreat Center for a few days of ocean time, cultural experience, and community building!
The group had a great time at the beach, and also had the opportunity to visit the Gibbes Art Museum. For several people, this was their first art museum visit!
This was a quick trip, but impactful for our youth. Thank you for the generosity which makes trips like these possible!

David Bockstege
1954 - 2024
Members and friends, we are saddened to share with you the difficult news that our brother, David Bockstege, has died.
As many of you are aware, David was battling pancreatic cancer for the past year. We gives thanks that, as of this afternoon, he is no longer in any pain.
David's Celebration of Life service is currently planned for August 17th, and we will share more details as we have them. Please click HERE for David's obituary.
For now, we continue to pray for Kim, their children, Brandon, Katie, and Emily, their grandchildren, and their large extended family as they face this loss. May they find hope and strength, remembering our Lord's victory over death. May we be inspired by the memory of David's loving kindness.
"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39

Last Sunday we learned more about our Outreach Partner Better Bound Book Store & Youth Development. We encourage you to visit their store and website to learn more about the work that they are doing in our community.
Better Bound Bookstore and Youth Development is a social enterprise job training and youth development program that empowers at-risk youth to “do the work” to actively change the trajectory of their lives while managing an online resale business.
They work with the most vulnerable 16–21 year old young adults: those who are court involved, failing school or out of school. Youth develop career goals, stay in school, achieve academically and learn critical employment and social skills that will enable them to succeed in life, all while earning a paid wage managing their resale store.
