Deadwood Dan's fun filled event for all

Lake Villa Township proudly hosted its annual New Years senior lunch Casino extravaganza this past Saturday, marking over 20 years of this beloved community event. This festive gathering is designed to provide our senior community with a day filled with games of chance, where participants engage in play using Township bucks, a form of play money. The excitement doesn’t stop there; seniors can also use their winnings to bid on real prizes, adding an extra layer of thrill to the day.

The success of this event is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our Township Officials and Staff, who tirelessly organize the festivities. We are especially grateful for the support of our community leaders, including Lake Villa Mayor James McDonald, Lindenhurst Mayor Dominic Marturano, Grant Township Supervisor Kay Starostovic, County Board Representative Linda Pedersen, and District 117 Board member Ronald Vickers. Their commitment, along with the efforts of numerous other volunteers, ensures that this event is not only enjoyable but also a cherished tradition in our community. Together, they create an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy, making the Casino extravaganza a highlight of the New Year for our senior residents.

Warm regards, Daniel Venturi and the Lake Villa Township Board.and all our dedicated staff members.

To ensure a smooth and efficient collection, please place your Christmas tree near the roadway on roads maintained by the Township. The crew will make their rounds to collect the trees, helping to keep our community clean and environmentally friendly. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to assisting you in this seasonal cleanup effort. Thank you for being a responsible member of our community!

Kids New Years Party

On New Year's Eve, a delightful event took place at Lake Villa Township's Peacock Camp, hosted by Joe Prindle of Homesmart Connect Realty. The Kids New Year's Eve party attracted an impressive turnout of 75 enthusiastic children, all eager to celebrate the arrival of the new year together. The festivities kicked off at 4:00 PM, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter and excitement.

As the clock approached 6:00 PM, anticipation built among the children for the much-anticipated balloon drop, a highlight of the evening that brought joy and cheers from all attendees. The event was a fantastic opportunity for kids to socialize, play games, and create lasting memories with their friends and families.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Joe Prindle for his exceptional coordination and effort in making this event a success. His dedication to creating a fun and memorable experience for the community's children is truly commendable. Here's to more joyful gatherings in the future!
