Resource of the Month:

Eaglet Food Pantry

When Gunter Library opened its self-service food pantry in September, the goal was to address any food insecurity among GCRL affiliated students and employees. Since opening, the pantry has been restocked three times with deliveries from the Gulf Park campus Food Pantry and donations at the boxes sponsored by our partner, the Marine and Estuarine Graduate Student Association (MEGSA). Gunter Library is now the delivery site for food packages sent from the Gulf Park panty for individuals at GCRL. All GCRL affiliated students, faculty, and staff are welcome to come to the Gunter Library Eaglet Food Pantry and utilize the available resources free of charge from 8 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday. The pantry is located just inside the Gunter Library by the bulletin board.

MEGSA is supporting the food collection for the pantry by having collection boxes at Cedar Point in the Research Building and in Caylor, Oceanography, and Research buildings at the Halstead/East Beach campus. We accept donations of non-perishable foods—cans and bags with an emphasis on easy to prepare/quick meals.

Gunter Holiday Open House Wrap-Up

This potluck party is our way of saying thank you to everyone who visits and supports Gunter Library all year long. Thank you to everyone one who shared a dish and everyone who enjoyed the delicious food! If you missed Martha’s special crockpot hot chocolate, see below!
