Winning tickets were chosen by the students with the most B3 community service hours for the year. This year Michael Amato, Tim Amato and Ben Landesman from the Odyssey team pulled the winning tickets for the 2023 raffle prizes.

DESPEDIDA RECAP
Students and advisors celebrated at the B3 Despedida party on Friday, May 12th at Stepping Stones Museum in Norwalk. 

It was a fun filled evening with the Estrellon Team winning the coveted Golden Shovel Award for best attendance.
Everyone had a great time enjoying food provided by the Super Duper Weenie and Mister Softee food trucks. 
All team members (students and advisors} received a keyring and special token to remember the year by. If you didn't pick yours up at the Despedfida, please stop by the office.
B3 Seniors were recognized in the 2023 Senior video produced by Colleen Claflin, Equipo Esperanza Team Lead and BOD member. (Click here to watch)

2023 was a great year and we can't wait for 2023/2024 to begin! 
2024 DESTINATION
The moment everyone was waiting for at Friday's Despedida...the announcement of the 2024 Destination!
The announcement was made by Colin Caricato, on the Rock-It! team, for selling the most raffle tickets. Colin is a rising senior attending Staples High School. It was a big night for Colin - it was his birthday, he won a President's Volunteer Service Award and he got to make the destination announcement.
Colin kept everyone in suspense until finally announcing that Builders Beyond Borders will be building a better world in the Dominican Republic in 2024!

PRESIDENT'S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD WINNERS
Congratulations to the following students and advisors recognized with a President's Volunteer Service Award for contributing 100+ hours of community service over the past year:

B3 PHOTO CONTEST
The 3rd Annual B3 Photo Contest winners were announced at the Despedida by B3 Ambassadors; Brendan Howard of the Equipo Esperanza team and Ava Cito of the Rock-It Team.
Photos submitted for the contest were anonymously judged by the B3 Board of Directors in five categories:
All Things B3, Community Connections, People of Ecuador, Ecuador Sights and
Buld It! (The theme for 2023). Contest winners received a B3 logo duffel bag!

Sustainable Westport is looking for volunteers to help with Zero Waste Stations at the Sunrise Rotary Great Duck Race on June 24th in Westport. There are three (2) hour shifts. Sign up for one or more!
