All’s fair in love and (food truck) war.

Everyone knows Jordan Plazas and Cindy Ortiz hate each other.

According to many viral videos of their public shouting matches, the Plazas and Ortiz families have a well-known food truck rivalry. Jordan and Cindy have spent all of high school making cheesesteaks and slinging insults at each other across their shared Philadelphia street.

But the truth? They’re in love, and it’s all just an act for the tourists.

When the fake feud lands them a reality tv show pilot, Jordan and Cindy find themselves having to lie on a much bigger scale. Trapped between pursuing their dreams or their love, can they find a way to have their cheesesteak and eat it too?

Controlling Garden Marauders

Aphids eating your cucumbers? Squirrels stealing your corn? Rabbits munching on your lettuce? Can they be stopped? Yes they can. Presenter: Mark Lyons, a.k.a. “The Garden Troubadour”, is a master gardener, consultant and educator. He has been gardening since he was 10 years old, and his first success came when he grew a foot long, two-and-a-half-pound cucumber and was featured in the local paper. Today, Mark runs a successful business, called Green Thumb at Your Service, dedicated to inspiring and coaching people on growing their own food. Based in Palatine, IL, Mark travels around the country to deliver dynamic presentations on vegetable and mushroom gardening, harvest preservation, and home cheesemaking. He is also an accomplished singer/songwriter and performer, who plays guitar, ukulele, and washboard.

Summer of 1969

In 1969, America experienced one of its most extraordinary summers. Join us as we relive the season that changed the face of America forever.

Presenter: Dr. Bill Thierfelder holds a Ph.D. in English with minors in theater, art history, and music history, and a Masters Degree in Theology. After teaching Second Grade for four years and High School seniors for six months as a replacement substitute, he spent the next 32 years teaching a variety of Arts and Humanities courses at several New York and Long Island universities and colleges, including St. John's University (his alma mater), Hofstra University, and Dowling College. He is currently docent emeritus from the American Museum of Natural History where he continues to give both Zoom and in-person presentations, works on special editing projects, and gives tours. He also lectures regularly for libraries and educational organizations across the country via Zoom.
