Join the CAG in celebrating with AAFS in Orlando (Feb 13-18)!
Stop by our Booth 401 - our CAG stainless steel pint glass giveaway will help you raise a toast to 75 years of The American Academy of Forensic Sciences!
CAGstaff completed an internal validation study of the ForenSeq®Kintelligence Kit for application to Forensic Genetic Genealogy. The study was performed in accordance with the Scientific Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods Validation Guidelines for DNA Analysis Methods, and was recently published in Forensic Genomics.Enjoy open access for 30 days!
Complex, nonprobative samples like bone, fired shell casing, and adhesive tape performed well, and we are excited to have Kintelligence in our toolkit as we work to solve our clients' toughest challenges with advanced techniques.
Interested in discussing validation for your laboratory?
CAG bioinformaticians and forensic scientists have developed k2v, an open source tool for creating VCF files from Kintelligence targeted sequencing data. Kintelligence users can apply this tool to convert Kintelligence data to more commonly used VCF files. The conversion enables the use of a wider, pre-existing infrastructure for genetic data manipulation and analysis. k2v eliminates the need to develop the custom analysis workflow that would otherwise be required for basic data analysis tasks.
Our FRISCservice for obtaining DNA from spent shell casings is helping police departments and crime laboratories generate investigative leads from these challenging samples.
With FRISC, we are generating probative DNA profiles.
