Poetry Walk at Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge

Join us in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Fire Island National Seashore. Meet at Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge for a Poetry Walk featuring poems from the community. This family-friendly event is co-hosted by the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library, the National Park Service, and Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge. Families of all ages are welcome.
(In case of rain, this will take place at the Moriches Library Branch.)

Your Heart's Voice: Book Reading and Meet & Greet @ Mastic Beach

Come join us for a delightful reading session with local author Renee Greene Murphy, as she shares her exciting new picture book, "Your Heart's Voice"! Families with children Grades 6 and under are welcome. Renee will engage with children, discussing books, her writing process, and how she comes up with her fantastic ideas. As well as reading "Your Heart's Voice" to the group. Don't miss the chance to grab a copy – books will be available for purchase. Families with children Grade 6 or younger.

Think Globally, Act Locally @ Mastic Beach

Happy Earth Day! Attend a presentation by the Mastic Beach Conservancy to learn about the ecology of our beautiful waterfront and how this group of local volunteers is working to preserve it. One hour of community service will be awarded.
Community service is for students in grades 6 through 12 who need the hours for religious studies or school. Teens must have an MMSCL library card in good standing.
