Reproductive Health at CHA

CHA is committed to providing the best possible care to all patients, including those who need reproductive health services. The recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling on June 24, 2022 ended federal protection of abortion rights. In response, Massachusetts passed an abortion rights law ensuring access to abortion and protecting providers who do them. In addition, Chapter 127 – An Act Expanding Protections for Reproductive Health and Gender Affirming Care allows people to access emergency contraception pills from their pharmacy.

We respect the personal decisions people make regarding their reproductive health and will continue to provide care to meet their needs. Please visit our gynecology web page to learn about getting care at CHA. You can also learn about a grant, which can pay for reproductive health services for eligible people. Emergency contraception (Plan B, also called "the Morning After Pill") is available at CHA pharmacies.

Physicals, mental health services, reproductive health and more are available in four nearby locations (Cambridge, Everett, Malden and Somerville). If you’re having trouble getting a physical, try contacting one of the Teen Health Centers. You can get a physical done quickly without having to switch your primary care provider.
