Diamond Clover Winner!

Livia Vertucci of Loma Vista 4-H

Watching Livia grow in the 4-H program has been a privilege. She is outgoing, fun and always brings enthusiasm and joy to any project/committee she is leading or participating in. Livia holds herself to a very high standard of excellence and expects the same from others. She brings great ideas and leadership to Loma Vista 4-H Club, Ventura County 4-H and several state and national committees all while playing in the Ventura High School wind ensemble, band and being captain of the track team.

Some key highlights of Livia’s 4-H experience are:

·        Served as Loma Vista 4-H Club as President for 2 years

·        Completed over 200 hours of community service

·         Southern Area Youth Summit Planning Committee

·        Co-Chair of the Ventura County Fashion Revue

·        Member of the state Public Speaking Advisory Committee

·        Presented a workshop “Rising Voices” at Southern Area

Youth Leadership Conference

·        A California delegate to National 4-H Conference

We look forward to seeing the places Livia goes after she graduates high school this spring. Because Livia took advantage of all the learning, leadership and service opportunities 4-H has to offer she is in a unique position to carry what she has learned into adulthood and continue to make impactful contributions to her community. Congratulations Livia!!

Ventura County 4-H is thrilled to announce that Livia Vertucci has been awarded the CA 4-H Diamond Clover. This award was established to recognize exemplary contributions to the 4-H program and is the highest achievement for which a 4-H member is recognized. Livia is in elite company - only 18 CA 4-H Diamond Clovers have been awarded since 2021.  To be eligible for the Diamond Clover Award 4-H’ers must complete 7 mandatory requirements and 6 out 8 individualized requirements. To get this award takes dedication and planning over the course of several years. (Info on what is required can be found here: Diamond Clover Award)
