Recycle Your Holiday Tree

Holiday Tree Disposal

The City of Oakland Park collects holiday trees as part of the bulk trash service. Place your tree out for pick up between Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday of your scheduled bulk collection week.

Chip-A-Tree Program

As an alternative to disposing of trees with bulk trash, Broward County invites residents to donate their evergreens to Broward County's annual Chip-a-Tree program. Every year, Broward County recycles thousands of trees, many of which might otherwise go to landfills. Simply remove all decorations and bring the tree to one of 12 participating parks, including Easterlin Park at 1000 NW 38th Street in Oakland Park. Trees will be chipped and used for landscaping throughout the County park system. Limit two trees per vehicle; no artificial trees, please. The program runs daily through Monday, January 16th, 2023. Hours vary; call the park of your choice for details. The number for Easterlin Park is 954-357-5190. Click here for other locations
