MRSS Training for Access Point Staff - 1/19/23

Good afternoon! We wanted to share a training opportunity for any agency that provides Children's Mobile Crisis Response or CSED Waiver Mobile Response.

We have an MRSS Training for Access Point Staff on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 9a - 4p via Zoom. This training is not necessary for those who have, or will be, attending the 3-day Introduction to MRSS training. It is a beginner level training for all direct care, supervisor and director level staff providing access point services only (i.e., hotline staff, CCRL staff, 988 staff, etc.)

Through attendance at this training, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the principles of a quality MRSS model
  • Distinguish between children, youth and family crisis systems and adult response models
  • Identify the core components of the MRSS model and demonstrate the best practice approach for MRSS implementation within the access point/someone to contact component.
  • Apply understanding of high quality MRSS model in triage practices
  • Differentiate between adult-driven and child-driven practices.
  • Describe critical vs. noncritical information necessary for warm hand-off to mobile teams.

Training includes opportunities to practice the key tasks of the access point service component including screening for safety, engagement, and warm handoffs for dispatch.

To register for this training, please click below. Participants must be able to attend the full training (9a - 4p) and have their own audio and video.
