Tammy and her husband Mark began attending Lord of Life because they had attended a couple of Lutheran-affiliated churches while overseas, and had some friends who already attended Lord of Life. Tammy was looking for a church home in which to worship, serve, and fellowship.
Tammy really LOVED the liturgy and the people of Lord of Life, making her feel at home right away. She appreciates the comprehensive ministry of our church. She said “We reach out to people far and near through worship, serving others, outreach, the Hands of Faith ministry, the music ministry and the children's & youth ministries. Everyone is eager to give.” She is excited about recent new faces, and attributes that growth in part to how quickly our church pivoted during the pandemic, finding new ways to continue to serve.
Tammy learned generosity from both her father and her husband. Tammy’s father is always very giving of his time, his love, and his laughter. Tammy says her husband just has the gift of generosity – it is part of who he is. She loves how he expresses his gift in words and in deeds. She chooses to support Lord of Life with her financial gifts to continue the good work of faithful worship and faithful outreach.
Tammy hopes future generations will experience God’s love and grace both within the walls of Lord of Life as they serve and are fed, but also outside our walls where they are released to serve our community and our world.
