Winter Classic Shoot -
November 26th 2022

The Winter Classic is always a well attended shoot regardless of the weather. Shooters come out to enjoy the last shoot of the year and a cup of our famous homemade Hot Apple Cider.
Participants and other shooters also share in the joy of Christmas spirit, by being a part of our Annual Christmas toy Drive.

This year's toy drive was a huge success!!
We received approximately $3000.00 worth of toys & cash.
The toys are collected from our members, clients and
the Calgary Fire Fighters, through their annual toy collection.
A huge thank you to Gord and Joanne Robb.
It's become quite a tradition and a way to give back to our community. Thank you to everyone who participated to make this effort so incredible. This year all donations were made to the Carstairs Lions Club for their
2022 Christmas Hamper efforts.

Canadian Firearms Safety Course
Non Restricted Course

Saturday, December 10th
- registration deadlines -
December 7th
Course time 8:00 am till 4:00 pm
(at minimum), Individual testing 4:00 - 7:00pm (approximately) 
$195.00 + GST, includes: coffee, tea and water.
Restricted Course
 
Sunday, December 11th
- registration deadlines -
December 7th
Course time 8:00 am till 12:00 pm (at minimum), Individual testing 12:00 - 2:30pm (approximately)
 $150.00 + GST, includes: coffee, tea and water. 
OR register for both courses at $295.00 + GST

Private and semi private lessons are available for one to two people. Gun rental, ammo and clays are extra. A minimum of 1.5 hours per lesson. Check out our website under Education and Instruction for all the details.

Manufacturers don’t make shotguns fitted for dwarves.
40 Years ago, I’d never heard the words “shotgun” and “fit” in the same sentence. Seemed my face and
shoulder were always bruised and sore and a day hunting with magnum loads would sometimes even draw blood. Of course, none of that was enough to keep me away.
Years later, our own level III instructor, Luther Cutts introduced me to gun fit and I started reading everything I could find. I realized that all my shotguns were too long for me from trigger to butt.
