Triple P Elkhart County Parent Newsletter - March 2024

This month in Triple P: Find us on Findhelp.org!

As part of our ongoing mission to make Triple P as accessible as possible for parents in our community, we have created a listing for our program on Findhelp.org, one of the fastest-growing online resource search engines in the country.

Parents using Findhelp to search for local support, programming, and resources can now directly contact us to find out more about Positive Parenting: Here is a direct link to our Findhelp page. Also, professionals working with parents across the community can visit the site to make direct referrals for us to follow-up and provide whatever support is needed. There is even an option to share our page with friends and family directly from Findhelp!

As always, you can find information about more upcoming Triple P workshops and group sessions in the community at TriplePElkhartCounty.org and in a list in this newsletter. Read on for more updates!

Get B.A.B.E. Store coupons at Triple P workshops!

We are happy to announce that we have partnered with the Beacon Health System B.A.B.E. Store to provide B.A.B.E. coupons for attendees of Triple P workshops across Elkhart County.

B.A.B.E. is a unique “store” that offers incentives to expectant mothers and parents to encourage responsibility and improve self-esteem. Parents and parents-to-be earn B.A.B.E. coupons for keeping prenatal appointments, attending parenting classes, and participating in other activities that improve child development and family health. Doctors, clinics and other social service agencies distribute B.A.B.E. coupons, which may be redeemed at B.A.B.E. stores for items ranging from diapers to childproofing essentials.

Our practitioners will have B.A.B.E. coupons available at the conclusion of all Triple P workshops for attendees who request them. To find out where and when you can redeem coupons, call the B.A.B.E. Store at 574-647-2201 or follow B.A.B.E. & More on Facebook.

There's still time to get on the waiting list for Triple P for Baby Online, coming soon!

The new Triple P for Baby Online is set to launch very soon, and there's still time to sign up to be one of the first in the United States to try this program for parents-to-be and parents of babies!

We've set up a sign-up form at tinyurl.com/tpbabyprelaunch where you can leave your name, email, and home ZIP code (to confirm Elkhart County residency) and join the list of parents who will be contacted when the Triple P for Baby program launches.

The program will launch first in English at some point in the next few weeks, with a planned release in Spanish at some point in the future. When the program is available in Spanish, we will be sure to let you know!

You can also download and share the flyer seen above to help spread the word -- and the link!

Bright by Text is live in Elkhart County!

As a part of the Building Strong Brains Early Childhood Coalition, our partners at Crossroads United Way have launched Bright by Text, a free text message-based program that provides tips and information about child development for parents.

Bright by Text shares free parenting tips by text, based on your child’s exact age and where you live, in English or in Spanish. Those texts include:

  • Milestones by age
  • Conversation starters
  • Social-emotional development tips
  • Games to boost brain development
  • Challenging topics like sleep, picky eating and much more!

To get started, just text CHILD to 274 448 from any mobile phone. You can click on either of these promotional images shown here to download them and share them to social media, in emails, and otherwise help spread the word to your coworkers, families, and the parents you work with.
