Good morning KDA. I enjoy reading Good Vibrations to stay in touch with my dental friends. My husband, Jim Lewis, an LDS member, passed away 2 years ago today, one day after Thanksgiving. One week before his 90th birthday.

I am doing well. I connect with 7 other widows every Monday afternoon and some times we go out for dinner together after meeting together. This week they are meeting at my home and just may have a special treat for them.

I also stay in touch with KDA staff members, Melissa and Janet. I dropped by the KDA office recently, where Richard (Whitehouse) and I compared notes on our recently replaced hips and knees. Less than a year after my right knee was replaced, my right hip was replaced. Made all the difference in my quality of life. If you need a new hip or knee, just do it.

I adopted a 6-year-old male cat in February and he is a joy to me. Such a sweetheart. Happy Holidays!

What is a Dental OSHA Compliance Manual?
Dental practices must comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act), a federal law administered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA’s function is to ensure employers furnish employees a place of employment that is free from recognized hazards that are causing, or likely to cause, death or serious physical harm to those employees. OSHA enforces its mandate through a series of safety standards.
