Instrumental Christmas Concert
You are invited to attend FCA's Instrumental Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, beginning at 1:00pm in the school gymnasium.
This one-hour-long concert will feature three short (mostly Christmas-themed) pieces from each of our ensembles:
  • 5th-grade Beginning Strings
  • 6th- through 8th-grade Intermediate Strings
  • 7th- through 12th-grade Advanced Strings
  • 5th-grade Beginning Band
  • 6th- through 12th-grade Advanced Band
Parents and family members of performers in these ensembles are invited. We ask that you please consider carpooling, since even before the school's recent expansion, our parking lot has always been over-capacity at on-campus concerts. The 3rd- and 4th-grade classes will also be in the audience, to help them get excited about their future in the band/strings department, but they will not be performing at the concert, mostly due to parking concerns.
Automatic Re-enrollment
Please remember that FCA has now moved to continuous enrollment for all students. Your child will be automatically re-enrolled unless you notify us by February 15 that they will not be returning. All new applications, including applications for siblings of existing students must be done online for the 23-24 school year. That process is being established and will be ready by February 1. An incidental billing charge of $100 for the re-enrollment fee will be charged February 15 and payable by March 1.
Inclement Weather Policy
The cold and snow are just around the corner. Here are some details: We have four traditional snow days built into the calendar this year. After that on days 6-10, we will utilize online learning. If we have more than 10 days off due to inclement weather we will need to extend the school year May 30-June 2. We do NOT always follow Berkeley County Schools. We will always have our own message. You are responsible to have a plan for how to get your children in the case of an emergency early dismissal. There is NO after care when inclement weather causes an early dismissal. You will receive a message from FACTS as a “Parent Text Alert” any time there is a change to the schedule. You will also see the message posted on our website.
Mom's In Prayer Group - Monday's at 6PM in the Library
Join us Monday evening at 6:00 in the Faith Christian Academy Library for an hour of prayer. We will use our hour to praise God for being our Comforter, to silently confess our sins, to give Him thanks, and to intercede for our children, their teachers, the school leaders, and for Mom's in Prayer International.
You do not have to be a mom at Faith or even have children of your own. You simply need the desire to pray for our children. We meet every Monday during the school year at 6:00pm for one hour. It's never too late to join us! You can start at any time!
