Christmas Light Festival

With over 100,000 Christmas lights we are ready to spread the light of Christ! Invite your neighbors, friends, and strangers in the grocery store! We have new displays and rumor has it Santa will be making an appearance every night of the Light Festival. Can you volunteer on one of the Light Nights in December? Candle Making this Sunday

"Let Your Light Shine"

December 4, 9:15 - 10:10 AM

Make a light and share a light. This intergenerational offering is open to all as we make a candle for our home and make a candle to share. How will you spread the light of Christ this Advent and Christmas Season? All are welcome.

"Waiting in Silence ... Together"

This Sunday, 10:00 AM


During the hustle and bustle at this time of year, do you need a pause? Come join The Rev. Dr. Joanne Sanders in the Prayer Room for a period of silence in community with others. Each Sunday during Advent provides an opportunity in peaceful quiet and silence for contemplative prayer, mindfulness meditation or simply to be and breathe. 10:00-10:20 a.m. All are welcome.

20s & 30s Christmas Social

Gingerbread House Making



20s & 30's are invited to join us at St. Michael's to build gingerbread houses together. There may, or may not be, prizes for the best houses. Bring a snack to share and friend. Drinks will be provided by St. Mike's. To RSVP email owen@stmikeschurch.com or call the church office. 719-598-3244.

Messiah Sing-Along

Sunday, Dec. 4, 3:00pm

First Christian Church


Join St. Michael's choir for a fun field-trip and sing-along. Admission is a free will offering ($15 suggested) and arrive early to get a good seat. Parking is limited and carpooling is recommended. Look for the Rev. Dr. Joanne Sanders and your other friends from St. Michael's! Scores are available in the choir room, but please return them when you are done. First Christian Church is located at 16 E. Platte Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

The Lord's Dinner

Our annual Christmas Meal and Give-Away will be on December 11 at Academy Christian Church. We hope to serve up to 75 guests with a warm meal, gift bags, necessities for our guests, and a new warm blanket. If you would like to volunteer at 5:00 PM to help prepare and/and serve the meal, or help with gift distribution, contact Marianne Jenkins at 719-661-2953. We have a great team but always enjoy sharing this special event with our parish and more hands are needed for all the special details.

Youth Group

Middle & High Schoolers are invited to join us for our youth group Christmas Party! We will share in a meal, drink hot chocolate, build gingerbread houses, play games, and ring in the holiday season together. Wear your favorite ugly sweater or Christmas outfit! Bread Makers!

"We knead you"


We have launched a new ministry for newcomers and we need your help! When newcomers request a name tag our vestry is delivering a bag with St. Michael's goodies, including a fresh baked loaf of bread. With enough bakers it would not exceed 2 loaves per month. If you like to bake loaves of bread, and want to be part of this ministry, please contact Rev. Angela at angela@stmikeschurch.com

During the season of Advent & Christmas we adorn our church with greenery and poinsettias that have been given by members of our community in thanksgiving or in memory of a loved one.
