I would like to share some of the feedback from our students regarding San Joaquin Memorial's Academics, Student Life and overall learning environment. We had 442 students take part in a student survey, which is 87% of our student body. Below are some of the questions and responses from our students.
1. Question: In general, what do SJM teachers do best to help students learn?
Number 1 Answer: Availability and time for help (78.5%)
Number 2 Answer: Patience and resources (61.5%)
2. Question: What is the best aspect about SJM's learning and academic environment?
Answer: 72% of students say small class size and available and caring teachers
3. Question: Overall, how would you rate the quality of education you are receiving at SJM?
Answer: 70% Exceptional/Very Good
4. Question: Overall, how would you rate your experience at SJM?
Answer: 80.1% Exceptional/Very Good
5. Question: Do you feel you are receiving an appropriate college-prep education in your non-AP/Honors humanities courses (English, Social Science, Religion, World Languages)
Answer: 85.1% All/Most Courses
6. Question: Do you feel you are receiving an appropriate college-prep education in your non-AP/Honors math and sciences courses?
Answer: Science 74.9% say yes
Answer: Math 69.7% say yes
7. Question: Overall, how do you rate the Campus Ministry program?
Answer: 58.6% Excellent/Above Average
8. Question: How would you rate school rallies?
Answer: 52.7% Excellent/Above Average
9. Question: How would you rate school spirit at games?
Answer: 61.4% Awesome/Good
10. Question: How would you rate the Athletic program?
Answer: 80.8% Excellent/Very Good
11. Question: Based on the Varsity sports in which you participate, in general how would you rate the coaching?
Answer: 70.3% Excellent/Very Good
12. Question: Based on the Junior Varsity/Frosh sports in which you participate, in general how would you rate the coaching?
Answer: 60.4% Excellent/Very Good
This information allows us to evaluate all programs, so we can look for ways to improve every aspect of the school moving forward.
