Senior Grad Night Ticket Sales Special $150 Extension

Attention Seniors!

Tickets sales for your 2023 Grad Night are open! Tickets are on sale now for $150 and will stay at this lower price until May 8 when it will go up to $175. On May 15 the price will change to $200. Don’t miss your chance to get your ticket at $150. You won’t want to miss out on the fun of the all-night event. Closing date for tickets is May 22. Scholarship requests to cover the cost to attend Grad Night can be submitted to GradNightScholarships@redmondhsptsa.org.

PTSA Award Nominations

Each year RHS PTSA looks for input from RHS staff, parents, students, and community to recognize individuals who have demonstrated excellence in support of RHS. The PTSA seeks recommendations in identifying exceptional advocates, volunteers, educators, and students within our school community. Awards are considered for the following award categories: 


Golden Acorn Award 


Golden Mustang Award 


Outstanding Educator Award 


Outstanding Advocate Award 


Outstanding Student Advocate Award 


Honorary Life Membership Award 


Descriptions of each award category can be found at Awards. Recommendations can be sent to RHS PTSA Attn: Awards, 17272 NE 104th Ave, Redmond, WA 98052 or you may email recommendations to awards@redmondhsptsa.org. Please note that you may nominate more than one person for each award. 


Awards are presented to the selected recipients at the June 14 General Membership meeting.

DEI - Learn Along With Us!

Your RHS PTSA is committed to learning and improving our work in the area of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). At our last board meeting, we watched a video about Language Inclusivity from the National PTA’s Center for Family Engagement. We invite you to watch and learn along with us. Staff Appreciation Week (May 8-12) Help Needed

Staff Appreciation Week is May 8-12. Help is needed throughout the week for setup, cleanup, coffee distribution...or baking/buying a dozen brownies (and dropping off at the main office).


Feel free to signup for one or more items if you can!

Rise and Shine Snack Attack

RHS PTSA is celebrating the wonderful RHS Staff during Staff Appreciation Week (May 8-12). The theme on Tuesday, May 9 is "Rise and Shine Snack Attack" where the focus will be on snacks that go well with a cup of coffee or a favorite tea flavor, as well as some grab-and-go items that staff can take for later in the day.


Please sign up to bring in a snack item by 2:30pm on Friday, May 5. Offerings can be dropped off at the main office in the box marked RHS PTSA STAFF APPRECIATION. You can sign up here!

Last Chance for Little Caesars Grad Night Fundraiser

It’s pizza time! Starting April 1 - May 1, we’re selling Pizza Kits to help raise money for Senior Grad Night. To reach our goal and be successful, we need everyone’s help. It’s super easy to join the fun!

Pizza Kits will be delivered directly to your home by FedEx, so you can send the link to your out of state family and friends too. Every kit we sell makes an impact. 

Get Your RHS Spirit Blanket and Decals and Support Grad Night!

For a limited time, the PTSA is selling custom-made RHS spirit blankets and decals. Proceeds go to support Grad Night to help offset the cost of the event and provide scholarships for students to make the event accessible to any graduating senior who wants to attend.


Blankets are $75 each and decals are $5 each. They are only available for a limited time - until they are sold out.

RHS BOOSTERS & CLUBS

Band Booster Senior Shout Outs

Senior Shout Outs are now available for purchase until Friday, May 12. Shout Outs are a fun way to send a congratulatory message to your senior while supporting the band program at RHS.


Available in quarter - ($45), half - ($75), and full-page sizes ($125), Shout Outs are published in the program for the final band concert of the school year. Submit your own design, or send in your special message and memorable photo(s) and we'll handle the rest!

Social Media & Mental Health—Practical Advice

Being a teen today (and raising one) isn't easy. Adolescents everywhere are facing mental health struggles. While every parent has heard about cyber dangers, many don't fully understand the "everyday dangers" of normal social media use. At the next Balance in Mind Parent Chat, at 7pm on Wednesday, May 3, award-winning speaker Ashley Bendiksen combines compelling and relatable storytelling with research-backed practical advice to help parents understand their kids and know what they CAN do.

Breaking Barriers to Create Bridges: Racial Healing With Erin Jones

Lake Washington PTSA Council is excited to co-sponsor a special event, along with LWSD: Come join us as we hear from Erin Jones. Erin is a long-standing, local and national award winning educator and author of the book Bridges to Heal US: Stories and Strategies for Racial Healing.

LEARN Saves Lives: Suicide Prevention Training for Parents & Caregivers

Lake Washington PTSA Council is partnering with LWSD to host a free education event for parents and caregivers. Come experience a potentially life-saving training from the University of Washington's Forefront Suicide Prevention program. The information shared in this session will help you recognize when someone might be at risk for suicide and how to connect them with immediate help.
