Havertown Holiday Festival

Saturday, December 10th (Raindate 12/11)

The Havertown Holiday Festival will be a family friendly event from 11:00am - 9:00pm focused on Christmas, Hanukah, and Winter Fun! We will have visits from Elsa, Olaf, Buddy the Elf and Santa, live holiday music, excerpts from the Nutcracker, story time and crafts for kids, food vendors, beer & hot drink vendors, a holiday gift marketplace, an ice sculpture demonstration, and a tree lighting with Caroling!

2022 Holiday Decorating Contest

It's that time again -- to brighten up our town with holiday decor!

A panel of judges has been assembled for Discover Haverford’s 2022 Holiday Display Contest who will judge store window displays and facades in Haverford Township from Sunday, December 4th through Saturday, December 10th. To register for the competition a business must inform Discover Haverford by signing up via e-mail at donaldkelly@aol.com. The deadline to register is Wednesday, November 30th.

Celebrates its 2nd Friendsgiving at Buona Sera

Buona Sera Ristorante located at 2126 Darby Road provided the festive location and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating at the 2^nd Annual Friends Giving Dinner. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was exhilarating (due to the good food, conversations & laughs!).

The owner, Kristina Minster has a bubbly, down to earth personality that creates a welcoming and inviting environment while you sip the homemade blends of coffee and espresso provided by Green Street Coffee Roasters.

Plastic Bag Ordinance

In April 2022, the Board of Commissioners passed an ordinance to reduce the use of single-use plastics throughout our community. The ordinance will go into effect on January 2, 2023 – so start planning now to be part of the solution and bring your own bags when shopping local.
