Roslyn Public Schools

SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

December 14, 2022

Dear Roslyn Families,

Schools across Long Island are seeing a rise in seasonal cases of respiratory viruses such as influenza, RSV, and COVID-19.

With the winter months approaching, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of following common sense precautions to prevent the spread of illnesses.

  • Regular hand washing
  • Covering the mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing
  • Staying home when sick or symptomatic

Our school buildings will continue to adhere to good hygiene habits, ensuring that all surfaces, such as desks, doorknobs, and water fountains, are regularly cleaned and disinfected. Numerous hand sanitizer stations are positioned throughout each school, and the windows in our buildings and on our buses will be kept ajar to allow for proper ventilation and circulation of fresh air.

I am confident that by taking these steps, we can help prevent the spread of illness and keep our school community healthy and safe as we enter the holiday season. Be well!

Sincerely,

Allison Brown
