Come Lift Your Voice in Song
A Special Invitation for Those over Sixty
Make Music with Us
"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises" it says in Psalm 98.

If you'd like to do that with our Chancel Choir or with our Choral Society, mark your calendar for rehearsals that begin in September.

The Chancel Choir--which sings at the 8:00 worship service from September through May--will rehearse on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary beginning on September 7.

On Thursday, September 14, the Choral Society will begin weekly 7:00 p.m. rehearsals in Buchanan Chapel for a concert with the Camerata Chicago orchestra on November 10. That program will feature works by Vivaldi, Bach, and Handel.

If you prefer to ring rather than sing, our Handbell Choir will begin rehearsals on Sunday, September 10 at 8:00 a.m. in the Buchanan Chapel Choir Loft.

Come join us in making music this autumn!

One Evening a Week at the Church
Have you been looking for a way to give back to the community? Why not make a difference in the lives of children from Chicago's under-resourced neighborhoods by joining Chicago Lights Tutoring this year!

We are in need of 102 new tutors by October 2 to work one-to-one with a student from first- through twelfth-grade one night a week, October through mid-May, at the church.

threeWe're Getting Ready for Kickoff Sunday
September 10: Children and Youth Programs Begin!
We're excited about our Sunday School and Youth programs resuming in September and hope you are too!

Our Sunday youth gatherings (11:00 a.m., with fellowship at 10:30), Sunday School classes (9:30 and 11:00 a.m.), and children and youth choirs will resume on Sunday morning, September 10 with a family picnic in the courtyard to follow at noon, complete with games and a dunk tank. Make plans to join us!

Then one week later, on Sunday, September 17, we will celebrate Get Connected Sunday, a time for all ages to learn more about the breadth of opportunities to learn, serve, and grow in community here at Fourth Church.
