Remembering Loved Ones on All Saints'
A Requiem Service of Remembrance
Giving Thanks for Those Who Have Gone before Us
This Sunday is All Saints' Sunday, a day when we remember the faithful who have gone before us and honor departed loved ones. As part of that observance, the names of all Fourth Church members who have entered the Church Triumphant in 2017 will be read during worship.
Communion and John Rutter's Requiem
An additional opportunity to worship on this All Saints' Sunday will be during a special communion service of remembrance at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. John Rutter's Requiem will be sung by the Morning Choir during the service.

We hope you will join us for this reflective worship opportunity as we remember all departed loved ones.

braunTwo New Adult Education Classes
Reformations; God in the Modern Wing
The Academy for Faith and Life is offering two new adult education classes beginning this Sunday--one a part of their Reformation series and the other a return of a favorite series on religion and art. Keep reading for course descriptions!

The Reformations of the Sixteenth Century: 500 Years and Counting

Sundays, November 5-19 (3 weeks) ● 9:30 a.m. in Room 5G

How might we best consider the remarkable Reformations of the sixteenth century?

In three sessions Ken Sawyer will lead us in pursuing the liveliest questions of these Reformations, with close attention to the people, texts, and conflicts of that struggle. What were these Reformations all about? What and why did Protestants protest? What are some of the Reformation controversies that remain today. What is worth remembering and even rekindling in the Reformation way?

Join us as we connect the Reformations with contemporary reflection.
