Last week we welcomed Joanne Connell and Samantha Sykes from the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. They gave us an update on the facility, what events take place at it, and recent updates and additions that have been made. Most recently, a covered arena and new barns were installed to protect from the Florida summer heat. Ms. Sykes then talked to us about the therapy program and how they integrate horses in and how they aid in therapy. Problem solving, balance, and emotional support are a few areas that they specialize in.
