Our Community Salutes

A special congratulations goes out to all of the graduating seniors who have decided to serve our country by joining the armed forces. I was blessed to have met seniors from throughout Precinct 3 and thank them for their future service at this year's Our Community Salutes recognition event!

Tornillo ISD

Thank you to the students of Tornillo ISD for helping us celebrate the construction of 3.3 miles of new sidewalks that will connect neighborhoods to schools and provide a safe place for our students to walk and ride their bikes! Also, keep an eye out for construction to begin soon on another walking trail coming soon to Tornillo!

Sound the Alarm and Save a Life!!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who contributed their time to the Red Cross Sound the Alarm event which resulted in the installation of 300 smoke alarms in San Elizario this month! Thank you to ESD #2, the City of San Elizario, AYUDA and the Office of Congressman Tony Gonzales for coming out to help!

Capistrano Elementary School

It was so nice to be given a tour of the newly-renovated Capistrano Elementary School by Ms. Sandra Chavez’s Student Council students! The classrooms are now equipped with the technology that our students need to succeed! The students did a wonderful job guiding us throughout the school!

Ysleta del Sur Pueblo

Art Market

The Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Cultural Center vendors treated us to some fresh-baked Tigua bread this past month. It was delicious as always! Additionally, we met vendors selling their beautifully hand-made jewelry, clothing and household items. Please feel free to visit and you will be amazed!

We had a wonderful turnout at the 2nd Annual Easter Bunny Hop hosted by Economy Wholesale Grocers at 411 N. Zaragoza Rd.! My staff and I were able to provide free books to avid readers as they picked up books for the kids and grandkids and even themselves!! And the car show was quite the show stopper!
