The hvoss active response team (hart) were joined by two special guests at this month’s coffee morning...


We were delighted to welcome Ian Baker-Hedges and Toby Hanham from Herefordshire Council’s Emergency Planning Department to talk to the hart team about the vital work that they do and how volunteers can help during emergency situations.


Our hart team are a team of volunteers who provide dynamic support to groups, organisations, communities, events and residents across the county. There is no minimum time commitment required to join the hart team, and a friendly and welcoming group awaits you.

Talk Community Herefordshire have announced access to GrantFinder


Talk Community are now able to offer access to the UK’s leading funding database to Herefordshire groups.


GrantFinder is a one stop shop for funding information, providing continuously updated funding opportunities. Charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations can search through the thousands of Government, Lottery, charitable trust and other funds available on a European, national, regional and local basis.

Home for Ukraine - Hosting Information Webinar

One year on… and the need for hosting is still as great as at the beginning. As you will have seen in the news, the war is still as fierce as ever and families are still being displaced.


Have you or someone you know thought about hosting? Did you register but was unable to be placed with a guest? Have you unanswered questions about hosting?


Join us for a Hosting Information Webinar on Thursday 16th March, 7pm – 8.30pm to find out the answers to these questions and more. During the event, hosts and guests will share their experiences and the Support for Ukraine Team will explain how they can support you through hosting as well as answering any questions you may have.

Join us for the next Herefordshire Community Partnership event

The Community Partnership launched on 8th September 2021 and its aims are to create a vibrant forum for the public, formal health and care services, and voluntary and community sector organisations to work in partnership to ensure that services are delivered in the best way possible.

An introduction to raising your online profile and digital fundraising


Tuesday 14th March, NMITE's Skylon Campus, Hereford, England, HR2 6SR


After the success of their last event NMITE and hvoss are collaborating again to deliver a morning of digital training for small to medium community groups, charities and social enterprises within Herefordshire. This event is aimed for those at the beginning of their journey who would benefit from learning the basic principles and best practices.


Lisa Sullivan from hvoss will lead an introduction to raising your online profile, followed by an interactive online fundraising workshop with Anika Bainbridge from Purple River Media


9:00- 9:30: Arrival, welcome

9:30- 10:30: Raising your online profile

10:30-10:45: Break

10:45- 12:30: Online fundraising


We are asking for only one or two representatives from a group or organisation as spaces are limited. Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet and examples of current digital projects or platforms they are running.

It's time to Count Your Hours


You can now enter any volunteered hours for February that your or your group or organisation gave. 


The Count Your Hours campaign started in June 2022 and in that time a staggering 40,403 hours have been recorded by charities, organisations, individuals and Trustees from across Herefordshire!
