Dear Parents,

This week our entire school was treated to wonderful enrichment activities. Our kids in Rainbow, Orange, VPK, and our K-2 program had an on site fieldtrip from The Miami Children’s Museum. They had a hysterical reenactment of some of Dr. Suess’ stories in honor of his birthday last week. If your child is in those classes and was in attendance, you will see your account was billed $8. The kids in our younger classes enjoyed a visit from our wonderful storytelling friends from our nearby public library.

This week our VPK kids visited with me in the Science Lab. They had a blast sorting hundreds of recycled plastic lids by color and then sorted and counted them on a ginormous graph outside. Finally, they counted and used their critical thinking skills to determine which column had the most and the least.

Our Kindergarten kids also visited the lab and had a follow up hands on experience using tuning forks to further their understanding of their study of sound and vibrations. They loved hearing the sound, feeling the vibration of the tuning fork as it hit their hands, and also seeing the vibrations when the water jumped out of the bowl when touched by the vibrating tuning fork.

It is with great excitement that I share that we are opening a second Kindergarten class. Each class will be limited to only 11-12 children so we can accommodate those families who were on the waitlist. If you were not on the waitlist and wish to be put on, please let me know asap. Families who qualify for the Step Up scholarship will only pay $30 weekly til 2:00 and an additional $45 weekly for afterschool til 5:30.

VPK families, please mark your calendar for our cap and gown photo shoot which will take place on March 13th. Please make sure to send your child in their blue school polo, we will provide the cap and gowns.

VPK AND K-2 families, you should have received your SAVE THE DATE cards for our end of the year assemblies. Please read it carefully and mark your calendars.

Please note, you may see the $80 registration installment in your account, but it is for a future invoice that will be active on 3/25. No funds will be drafted before that to give families who are moving time to let us know.
