This Weekend in Worship

The Fourth Sunday of Easter is sometimes called “Good Shepherd Sunday.” Jesus is called the “gate” of the sheep in today’s gospel. The risen Christ opens the way to abundant life. He anoints our heads with oil and guides us beside the still waters of our baptism. Each Sunday he spreads a feast before us amid the world’s violence and war. We go forth to be signs of the resurrection and extend God’s tender care to all creation.

Project Gathering House & Family Promise

Thank You!

Many thanks to those who made generous donations of new bedding, kitchen items, and cleaning tools in support of the Family Promise ministry. These items have freshened up the Gathering House for families that we host quarterly.

Additionally, thanks to everyone who supported and hosted Family Promise during Holy Week (April 2-9). Folks from Faith donated food supplies, provided meals all week, hosted meals, stayed overnight, and handled set-up and clean-up tasks. Your gifts of time and hospitality are a blessing to the families we host and are greatly appreciated.

If you would like to learn more about Family Promise or have questions about volunteer opportunities, please contact Seana Jefferson (864-884-5929) or Lisa Fischer (515-371-7415). Thank you!

Mission Possible is the theme for VBS 2023.

PreK—6th graders will meet from 5:30—8:00 pm. A PreK only option is offered from 9:30—11:30 am.

Visit faithlc.org/cfm to register your child and sign up to volunteer during VBS week!
